Uprising is out now worldwide and we're here with some of the coolest content for your consumption! In this week's WTL, we take a look at the Week Two Road to Nationals recap and check out what went down at Battle Hardened Syracuse.

The Road to Nationals event series is in full swing and has reached the halfway point! Players around the world have the chance to compete in Uprising Draft and Classic Constructed formats to secure their spot at their upcoming 2022 National Championships.

With the Road to Nationals season in full gear, we're excited to share the initial details for this year's 2022 National Championships, with more information to come next week. National Championship events in 2022 will run from September 10-25.


Push the Point's Hamish Chisholm Brown and OK&Y Podcast's Yichin Liu (AKA MalZenith) are here with some brutal and brilliant articles to inspire and fire you up this Road to Nationals season.

Man Sant has dropped the third and final part of his Classic Constructed Gauntlet gameplay series and the Flesh and Blood Game Development team is here to share their thoughts and Uprising Draft picks with you with part three of the Pack 1, Pick 1: Uprising video series.

In addition to Road to Nationals, there are many exciting events coming up for fans to explore the dynamic, new Uprising environment with, such as Battle Hardened events in Los Angeles, Toronto, Auckland, Portland, Minneapolis and Denver.

The Calling Utrecht is just one week away! The Calling Singapore is hot on its heels and of course, the pinnacle of organised play, Pro Tour Lille is going down in August!

Skirmish Season 5 has been announced. Over 600 stores will be hosting events all around the world this season, so grab some friends, find your nearest tournament and get involved!

Road to Nationals

The Road to Nationals series has reached the halfway point and with two weeks remaining, it's a great time to get down to a Local Game Store near you this weekend! We've partnered with over 300 local game stores around the world to host events, giving you the chance to qualify for your National Championship. Featuring both Classic Constructed and Uprising Draft events, there are plenty of chances to get started on the path to greatness.

The Uprising Road to Nationals season is heating up and we are honoured to once again have some of the sharpest thinkers and competitors in Flesh and Blood here to bring you the coldest content!

Push the Point's Hamish Chisholm Brown breaks down brute force and Blood Debt in his latest article as he discusses the most savage and brutal class in Flesh and Blood- Brute.

Yichin Liu (MalZenith) is here to share his thoughts, analyses and observations on the dynamic Road to Nationals Classic Constructed metagame.

Iyslander Hero Art

Each Road to Nationals event offers four qualification spots, plus a range of Cold Foil and Rainbow Foil prizes. The season runs July 2-24, and events are open to all players, with the Top 4 claiming their invitation to their National Championship.

Prizes:

  • 4 x National Championship Qualifications - awarded to the Top 4 of each event
  • 1 x Iyslander, Stormbind Cold Foil Hero card - awarded to the winner of each event
  • 8 x Random Drop Fai, Rising Rebellion or Dromai, Ash Artist Cold Foil Hero cards - awarded to the Top 8 of each event
  • 24 x Rainbow Foil Extended Art promo cards - awarded to 9th-32nd place players at each event

With one of the Road to Nationals formats being Uprising Draft, the Flesh and Blood game developers have returned with week three of Uprising Pack 1, Pick 1 for your viewing pleasure!

Get comfy, kick back and relax as our Devs once again take a deep dive into a pack of the hottest Flesh and Blood set to date, Uprising, trying to answer all the age-old questions: What do I first pick? Do I keep myself open or get locked in early and go after all the powerful class cards? What kind of signals am I sending and picking up on?

The Road to Nationals Gauntlet Gameplay Series continues!

This three part game series features three games and six different heroes selected and piloted by possibly the most devout Demonastery disciple, and visionary behind the fan favorite YouTube empire from Ethan "Man Sant" Van Sant, and friends.

In the third and final match of the Road to Nationals Gauntlet Gameplay Series, we see Ethan play as the prodigy swordswoman, using both skill and strategy, wielding the Dawnblade, graceful and nimble, embracing the dawn as he becomes the orginal Warrior, Dorinthea Ironsong. On the other side of the arena, we see Levi with a heart full of wonder and innocence, take command of the power that courses through endless plains of snow, as he plays as the Elemental Wizard, Iyslander, Stormbind!

2022 National Championships

The 2022 National Championship events will run from September 10-25, with events split between invitation-only events in larger countries, or open-entry events in smaller countries.

Invitation-only events will be limited to players who have qualified through Road to Nationals, receiving an invite via 90-day XP, or redeeming a PTI. There are 15 invitation-only events: Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. XP-based invitations will be issued based on standings as of 5 pm Tuesday 26 July PDT, directly following the end of the Road to Nationals season.

Open-entry events will be open to all players, up to the player cap. All players who have qualified through making the Top 4 of a Road to Nationals event will automatically receive free entry to these events, while other players will be able to purchase a ticket to the event.

Skirmish Season 5

Skirmish Season 5 is set to begin this month, running from July 30th to August 21st! This casual-level event series features both Blitz and Uprising Sealed Deck tournaments, so you can either pick up your favorite Blitz deck, or crack some packs to play Fai, Dromai, or Iyslander! Over 600 stores will be hosting events all around the world this season, so there's never been a better time to join the Skirmish. Grab some friends, find your nearest tournament, and get involved!

This season's prize kit includes Fai and Dromai Cold Foil hero promos, Silver tokens appearing for the first time in Cold Foil, and two playmats for the finalists of each event, featuring the artwork of Aether Ashwing and Phoenix Flame!

Registration for Pro Tour Lille, the Calling, Battle Hardened and side event packages are now open!

Pro Tour qualified players can register for the event now. Registration is necessary, and must be completed by 11:59pm (PDT) August 4th, 2022 in order to ensure your place in the tournament.

The Pro Tour weekend also features a full slate of public events, including the Calling, Battle Hardened and three action packed days of side events. We've got a range of ticket packages available, so head on over to the tournamentcenter website and check out all the options. If you are planning on coming, please consider buying your tickets early; a number of recent events including Krakow, Sydney and New Jersey have sold out, and we want to avoid any disappointment for players who are travelling to take part in the events!

North America

The SCG Con series took us to Syracuse last weekend for Uprising Sealed Deck Battle Hardened action! Check out the full recap below.

The Battle Hardened series comes to Canada for the first time at Anime North with Battle Hardened Toronto this weekend, July 15-17! Across the three days of side events, the weekend will also feature both a Road to Nationals and a Battle Hardened tournament, which are free to Anime North ticketholders!

Also happening this weekend, in the City of Angels is Battle Hardened Los Angeles, 16-17 July! Saturday will see the Battle Hardened, followed by a Road to Nationals event on Sunday! With Classic Constructed, Blitz Constructed, Sealed Deck, and Draft side events, there truly is something for everyone!

The Battle Hardened series is coming to Portland! From August 12th-14th, you can join the action for a 'Super' Armory event, leading into the main Battle Hardened tournament on Saturday, followed by a Skirmish event on Sunday. Featuring a mix of Classic Constructed and Uprising Sealed Deck, there's something for everyone!

Two more Battle Hardened events are coming to Minneapolis September 30 - October 2, and Denver from October 29-30. These will be some of the last chances to get a PTI and attend the World Championships in November. Both events will be offering two PTIs at the main Battle Hardened event, and one PTI each to the winner of the Professional Tournament Invitational side events.

Asia-Pacific

The Battle Hardened series returns to New Zealand this month July 30! Hosted by Card Merchant (with support from ADEPT Events), as part of the Cancer Society Games Fair at the iconic 'The Cloud' venue, players will have the chance to put their Classic Constructed skills to the test to compete for coveted PTIs, cash prizes and more.

Over the past 18 months, South East Asia has established itself as one of the most intense competitive Flesh and Blood environments in the world. The leaderboards consistently feature players from across the region at the top of the standings, and casual Sunday Skirmish events have featured Top 8s with over 8,000 XP between them. Singapore was the only country in the world to have their National Championships cancelled due to lockdowns, so we're very happy that the Calling will be coming to Singapore on August 20-21.

Europe and the UK

The Calling series returns to Europe this month with Calling Utrecht 22-24 July! We've partnered with the team at tournamentcenter to bring high-level competitive play back to Europe, this time featuring the Classic Constructed and Booster Draft formats. With a European Champions' Battle, a Calling and a Battle Hardened event, there' plenty of opportunity to test your mettle.

Between Calling and the Battle Hardened, there are a total of 10 Professional Tournament Invitations (PTIs) on offer, providing you your ticket to the largest and most exclusive tournaments in Flesh and Blood, including the upcoming Pro Tour Lille!
