Beautiful Barcelona is our destination - an iconic city with bright lights, fitting for the greatest Flesh and Blood showdown of all time!

It's time for the giants to bring everything they have in a grueling three day tournament that will push them to their absolute limits and test their expertise in every field of Flesh and Blood. But only one will take out the competition and rise to the ranks of legend, claiming the prestigious title of World Champion, gleaming trophy, one of a kind promo card, and lion’s share of $300,000 USD.

All World Championship players must submit their Classic Constructed decklist by Thursday November 16, 2023 at 11:59 pm CET, Barcelona local time.

ELIGIBILITY

The World Championship is an invitation only event. All players need to pre-register for the event. Players can qualify for World Championship: Barcelona in the following ways:

• Obtaining an invitation to World Championship: Barcelona through a National Championship event.
• Ratings-based invitations will be issued based on standings as of Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 at 11:59 pm PDT, following the end of National Championship season. World Championship: Barcelona Invitations will be offered to players ranked in the Top 50 on the Global Leaderboards for:
  • 90-day XP
  • Lifetime XP
  • Constructed Elo
  • Limited Elo
  • Ratings based invites do not pass down and are valid only for World Championship: Barcelona.
• Redeeming a PTI (Professional Tournament Invitation) obtained from a previous event, such as a Calling or Battle Hardened.
  • Redeeming a PTI - PTIs can be redeemed by emailing protour@fabtcg.com with your name and GEM player ID. The player redeeming their PTI must send this email from the same email address registered to their GEM player account. PTI redemptions can be submitted up until Tuesday, November 7th at 11:59 pm PST. If the player does not attend World Championship: Barcelona, their PTI will still be deemed to have been used.
  • Gifting a PTI - A player may also gift a PTI to another player by emailing protour@fabtcg.com with your name and GEM ID number, and the name and GEM ID number of the recipient. The player gifting the PTI must send this email from the same email address registered to their GEM player account. PTI gifting requests can be submitted up until Tuesday, November 7th at 11:59 pm PST. Please note that a gifted PTI must be used by the recipient to play at World Championship: Barcelona. If the recipient does NOT attend World Championship: Barcelona, the PTI will cease to exist.
• A full list of invited players has been published here. World Championship pre-registration for invited players is available from September 22, 2023 CET at https://tournamentcenter.gg/fabworlds2023/.

Prizes

World Championship: Barcelona will feature $300,000 USD of cash prizes, PTIs for the top 32 players, Gold Foil Legendary cards for the Top 8 players and a Champion's prize card for the winner!

The Calling: Barcelona will take place using the Sealed Deck and Booster Draft format, with $30,000 USD of Cash Prizes, Professional Tournament Invitations (PTIs), and Gold Foil Legendary prize cards!

This event is the perfect opportunity for players without a Pro Tour invitation to experience Flesh and Blood at a professional level, as well as giving players who didn't make Day 2 of the World Championship a chance to 'go again'.

The Calling is an open-entry tournament - no invitation required, everyone is welcome to play!

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Spaces in Calling: Barcelona will be reserved for players to purchase who do not make the Day 2 cut for the World Championship.

SWISS ROUNDS

• Swiss rounds are best-of-one.
• Swiss rounds are 30 + 5 minutes in duration. (30 + 5 means there are 5 minutes allocated for the start of game procedure. Players must have presented their deck and revealed their equipment and weapons within this 5 minute window. If both players complete the start of game procedure in less than 5 minutes, they may begin playing their match immediately.)
• The number of rounds of Swiss is determined by the number of players at the beginning of round 1.

TOP 8

• Top 8 playoffs are single elimination, best-of-one matches.
• Top 8 matches have no time limit. Players are expected to play at a reasonable pace and Slow Play penalties will be enforced.
• For each Top 8 match, the player that finished higher in the Swiss portion of the event chooses to play first or second.

DECKS

• Card Pool Registration must be done PRIOR to the start of the Round 1, and after the completion of each Booster Draft.
• Deck checks will be conducted by event staff throughout the tournament.
• It is the responsibility of each player to ensure there are no distinguishing marks or patterns on their cards or card sleeves for the duration of the tournament. Vendors will be onsite to purchase sleeves if required.

PRIZES

The path to the biggest stage in Flesh and Blood TCG Organized Play begins with a Professional Tournament Invitation (PTI), and one of the best places to secure these prized assets is Battle Hardened with PTIs awarded to both finalists! PTIs can be used to enter any Professional level tournament, including Pro Tours and the World Championship, and do not expire, compared to invitations from ProQuest events that are only valid for the associated Pro Tour event they feed.
