We're back with another Organised Play announcement! Star City Games has today announced that they launching the SCG Con, and we're excited to announce that Flesh and Blood will be joining the series as it kicks off for 2022!
We told you last week that Battle Hardened was going to be refreshed for 2022, and today we're revealing more details of the revamped series. Battle Hardened events are going to be featuring at events around the world throughout 2022, with the goal of bringing high level Flesh and Blood events to communities around the world.
The very first of these Battle Hardened events is going to be taking place at the upcoming SCG Con event in Philadelphia on the weekend of February 11-13. Coming one week before Pro Quest starts, this will be one of the first opportunities that you'll have to explore the new Classic Constructed metagame. On top of the Battle Hardened event, Star City Games are putting on a full weekend of Flesh and Blood side events as well.
Battle Hardened Prizes
We want to make Battle Hardened a really exciting series, and so we've put together a great package of prizes for the tournament. Starting off for 2022, the prize pool for each event will comprise;
- 1x Gold Foil Legendary
- 8x Battle Hardened Exclusive Playmats
- 2x PTIs
- $2,000 USD in cash prizes
We're particularly excited about the playmats that we've got in store for this series. Each mat will be part of a short run series, typically 50 or fewer, and will only be available within a single season of Battle Hardened events. The first of these mats, which will feature in the prize pool for Philadelphia, is Voltaire, Strike Twice, with the very special double arsenal zone for all you Azalea and Lexi fans out there. And remember, unlike an in-store Pro Quest invitation, a PTI is a very special invitation that can be used to grant you entry to any future Pro Tour, National Championships or even World Championships!
