Cold foil cards are a special part of Flesh and Blood that we created to showcase collectability. This policy sets out our promise to the community towards how we can reprint cold foil cards.
Booster Set Cold Foils (effective from Uprising)
A card printed using the cold foil printing technique included in a standalone, expansion, or history pack booster set will never be printed as a cold foil again outside of the original product it released in, with the exception of the Cold Foil Prize Card clause of this policy. For avoidance of doubt, a card printed using cold foil can be reprinted using other printing techniques such as rainbow foil or no foil.
First Edition Cold Foils
A card printed using the cold foil printing technique included in a product marked First Edition* (First Edition Cold Foil) will never be printed as a cold foil again, with the exception of the Cold Foil Prize Card clause of this policy. For avoidance of doubt, a card printed as a First Edition Cold Foil can be reprinted using non-cold foil printing techniques such as rainbow foil or no foil.
*Welcome to Rathe "Alpha Print" is considered to be First Edition.
Cold Foil Prize Cards
We reserve the right to reprint any card using the cold foil printing technique for the purpose of supporting official Flesh and Blood organized play (Cold Foil Prize Card). A card printed as a Cold Foil Prize Card will be visually differentiated from it's original printing if that card was previously printed as a Booster Set Cold Foil or First Edition Cold Foil. This precedent has existed since the release of Flesh and Blood in 2019, with examples including the gold Cold Foil Prize Cards awarded at the Calling, National Championships, and to the first player in each country to reach 1000 lifetime XP.
Cold Foil Promo Cards
A promo card printed using the cold foil printing technique (Cold Foil Promo Card) can be reprinted, including as a cold foil in a retail product. This clause is only applicable to cold foil cards that have not been printed as a Booster Set Cold Foil or First Edition Cold Foil. For avoidance of doubt, once a card has been printed as a Booster Set Cold Foil or First Edition Cold Foil, it will never be printed as a cold foil again, with the exception of the Cold Foil Prize Card clause of this policy.
