World Championship: Osaka - Invited Players

The path to the World Championship continues, as we announce the list of qualified players for the main event! 397* players representing 46 countries have successfully advanced to the pinnacle event of 2024. Players will be battling it out all weekend long for their share of the $300,000 USD prize pool on offer.

Just as the Aetherscribes predicted... the World Championship is coming to Osaka!

From October 31 to November 3 players from all over the world will come together for the third World Championship, featuring a dynamic gauntlet of Classic Constructed and Rosetta Booster Draft! Witness the best of the best compete for their share of $300,000 USD and the prestigious title of 2024 World Champion!

Osaka is a thriving city in Japan with stunning architecture to explore, absolutely delicious food, and endless ways to celebrate with your mates. We welcome EVERYONE to join us for this landmark weekend, both seasoned pros and fresh faces alike!

There is so much OPEN ENTRY action on the table for fans to dive into, from the Calling, to a Battle Hardened, to an absolutely jam-packed weekend of public scheduled events, special guests, renowned artists, discussion panels, limited edition merch, a cosplay contest, and more!

But that's not all... Get ready to root for your country in the Team Cup! A team of three top players from each country will face off for a whopping $60,000 USD and an inscription onto the Team Cup Trophy! Full details below.

World Championship: Osaka - Invited Player List

World Championship: Osaka - Team Cup

• Qualified players eligible for the Team Cup will receive an email, on or around Friday September 6th, 2024, with a link to register for the tournament. Players must complete and submit the registration form in order to be admitted into the Team Cup. The deadline for confirming enrollment into the Team Cup is Monday September 30, 2024. After this date, we will review all qualified teams, and, where necessary, contact Team Captains to confirm the completeness of their team and nominate replacements.
• The final deadline for processing replacement players and confirming team enrollment is Friday October 18, 2024. For inquiries into the status of your national team, please contact protour@fabtcg.com.

World Championship: Osaka - PTI Redemptions Player List

The World Championship is an invitation only event. All players need to pre-register for the event. Players can qualify for World Championship: Osaka in the following ways:

• Obtaining an invitation to World Championship: Osaka through a National Championship event.
• Ratings-based invitations will be issued based on standings as of Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 11:59 pm PDT, directly following the end of the Part the Mistveil Organised Play season. World Championship: Osaka Invitations will be offered to players ranked in the Top 75 on the Global Leaderboards for:
  • Elo (Overall)
  • To qualify for a Ratings-based invite, a player must have competed in at least 5 Elo-rated matches in the previous 90 Days (From June 5, 2024 - September 3, 2024).
  • Ratings-based invites do not pass down and are valid only for World Championship: Osaka.
• Qualifying for the World Championship Team Cup, as the Highest Ranked ELO Overall rating, on their National Leaderboards, not already qualified through their National Championship
• Redeeming a PTI (Professional Tournament Invitation) obtained from a previous event, such as a Battle Hardened or Calling.
  • Redeeming a PTI - PTIs can be redeemed by emailing protour@fabtcg.com with your name and GEM player ID. The player redeeming their PTI must send this email from the same email address registered to their GEM player account. PTI redemptions can be submitted up until Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:59 pm PDT. If the player does not attend the Pro Tour, their PTI will still be deemed to have been used.
  • Gifting a PTI - A player may also gift a PTI to another player by emailing protour@fabtcg.com with your name and GEM player ID number, and the name and GEM ID number of the recipient. The player gifting the PTI must send this email from the same email address registered to their GEM player account. PTI gifting requests can be submitted up until Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:59 pm PDT. Please note that a gifted PTI must be used by the recipient to play at World Championship: Osaka. If the recipient does NOT attend World Championship: Osaka, the PTI will cease to exist.
• A list of invited players will be published on or around September 5, 2024 Pacific Daylight Time. World Championship pre-registration for invited players opens September 6, 2024.
