The worldwide National Championship series concludes this weekend with the final two events of the season; Australia and New Zealand National Championship events!
The 2021 Australian National Championship takes place in Sydney, at the Bankstown District Sports Club and is brought to you by legendary Local Games Store RC Crew Games! With the invite-only 96 player cap event taking place January 22-23 2022, fans around the world will finally bear witness to Australia's highest level of competitive Flesh and Blood play across two days of Classic Constructed and draft! Friday January 21 will see players bring their best 52 card Blitz decks to start the weekend off with a bang in the open entry, no-Nats-invite-required Battle Hardened event. Then Saturday, day one of the National Championship begins with 3 rounds of Classic Constructed followed by 3 rounds of Tales of Aria draft before finishing the day with 3 more rounds of Classic. Day 2 starts with 3 more draft rounds before the Classic Constructed decks return for the Top 8, earning random Golden Legendary drops, and the crowning of the first ever Australia Flesh and Blood National Champion!
If you aren't qualified to play in the main event, no worries, there will also be an open entry Sunday sealed side event- the ProQuest! The winner of this Tales of Aria sealed deck event will receive a Pro Tour Invitation and a Gold Cold Foil Arcanite Skullcap! Also, Last Chance Qualifiers, a last shot to get into the main event are also being held Friday January 21 at 11.45am at the RC Crew Games store. (More details below.)

Day 1
Day 1 will consist of 9 rounds of Swiss, with the Top 24 players advancing to Day 2.
- Swiss rounds will consist of:
- 3x Classic Constructed --> 3x Tales of Aria Draft --> 3x Classic Constructed
- All Swiss rounds are best of one.
- Classic Constructed rounds are 50 +5 mins
- Draft rounds are 30 + 5 mins
- Deck registration is required for both Classic Constructed and Draft
- Players will need to register their deck after drafting.

Day 2 will consist of 3 rounds of Swiss, followed by a cut to Top 8.
- Swiss rounds will consist of:

Top 8
Players must use the same Classic Constructed deck for the Swiss Classic Constructed rounds and the Top 8.
- For each Top 8 match, the player that finished higher in the Swiss rounds is given the choice to go first or second.
- Top 8 matches are untimed, but players are expected to play at a reasonable pace and slow play penalties will be enforced.
- Top 8 matches are best-of-one.

Update - Covid-19 protocols
It appears highly likely, based on currently available information, that the event will be run under the “red” or “orange” traffic light system implemented by the New Zealand government.
In order to be able to run the event in adherence with government directives and venue requirements, all players must be able to provide proof of full vaccination to play in the event. This will be checked at the venue.

- The venue has also advised that masks must be worn, except while seated, or while eating/drinking.
