Classic Constructed
The following hero and signature weapon have attained Living Legend status, and are no longer legal for official Classic Constructed tournament play from Monday, November 6:
- Lexi, Livewire
- Voltaire, Strike Twice
A roll of honor article celebrating all the players who contributed points towards Lexi’s ascension to Living Legend will be published in the near future and embedded in the hero page of this legendary hero.
In addition to the Living Legend update, the following changes to Classic Constructed are effective from Monday, November 6, 2023:
- Bull’s Eye Bracers moves from suspended to legal.
Short and sweet, as promised. Lexi’s reign has come to an end, and we are looking forward to seeing what our best and brightest players have up their sleeves for World Championship: Barcelona.
Blitz
- Soul Reaping is suspended until Chane becomes Living Legend.
With Skirmish Season 8 just around the corner, we wanted to shave a few points off Chane’s highest of high rolls. Soul Reaping doesn’t influence every game, but when things do line up, Chane’s specialization allows him to reach ceilings that, when combined with his incredibly consistent offensive output, presents a level of output that is often insurmountable. This is true whether Chane is playing his traditional go wide strategy, or the recently unlocked Rune Gate approach. While we do not expect this ban to knock Chane out of Tier 1 status, it is intended to tighten up his matchup spreads just enough to make games vs Chane more interesting during his final run towards Living Legend status.
And that end is coming even sooner than you might expect. With new Living Legend Updates, we do not expect Chane to be unleashing hell on the Blitz format for much longer. Enjoyers of Shadow Runeblade shenanigans will want to get their Soul Shackles made now—and start unpacking Vynnset’s deep bag of tools and tricks.
