The frenzy has begun!
Heroes from near and far are marching into the Pits to claim their bounty - slashing and slinging against any trouble that comes their way.
This weekend saw several Sealed and Blitz Skirmishes take place, with many players beginning to establish and hone their favourite heroes in Outsiders draft.
Blitz is shaping up to be a diverse and crazy format, where literally anything could happen (even a Data Doll in top 8). We'll be diving further into the meta analysis later this week, so stay tuned.
Check out some of the highlights from Week 1 below!
home-run FABulous card shop - Hong Kong
"32 participants attended Home-run FAB's Skirmish. After 5 swiss rounds in sealed format with 3 elimination rounds in draft, prolific player Eric Chu (who pulled a Marvel Codex of Frailty from sealed packs) defeated Galaxy to claim the title with Arakni, Solitary Confinement. Jerry Mak won the other cold foil Azalea by lucky draw."
1st: Eric Chu - Arakni, Solitary Confinement
Runner Up: Galaxy Yang - Riptide
Gamersaurus Rex - Singapore
"22 players showed up for Skirmish Season 6 hosted by Gamersaurus Rex, the first Blitz Skirmish In Singapore! We saw a wide variety of heroes being represented, including Chane and Prism who have reached Living Legend status in Classic Constructed. After 5 swiss rounds, our Top 8 consisted of 7 different heroes where the only repeat hero was Kano. In the end, despite having the Legendary Crown of Seeds taken from him, Oldhim managed to outlast his competition and even besting Prism to take down the event!"
1st: Malcolm Song - Oldhim
Runner Up: Kai Yang - Chane
Kraken - United States
"The day was full of familiar faces, new introductions, and great games. Our playing field was very diverse this season, seeing 10 different heroes from our 12 players. We even saw Data Doll for the second season in a row, this time in our top 8!
As an additional activity, we offered extra prizing for different metrics: most damage threatened in one turn and most consecutive turns without taking damage. Our record for damage was 27 from Rhinar, and our record for consecutive turns without taking damage was 3 turns from Dorinthea, Quicksilver Prodigy. We kept a public leaderboard, so players got to see the updated records as they happened (and know the number to beat). This ended up being a fun way to recognize unique turns and gameplay that was independent of tournament performance.
Our final match had people on the edge of their seats, we got to see Uzuri and Dorinthea, Quicksilver Prodigy pull out all the stops in a game that ended with no cards left in either deck. Nearly every participant stayed to watch this attack reaction intensive match. The end of the event was full of congratulations, chatter about unique deck builds, and excitement about future events."
1st: Jesse Valdez - Dorinthea, Quicksilver Prodigy
Runner Up: Justin Salmon - Uzuri

Highlander Games - Germany
"The event was very well attended with 20 players. In the final, Nica Roth and Daniel Peuker gave each other absolutely nothing in a nail-biting Azalea mirror. The final move was phenomenally decided by Nica Roth with a previously spire sniped and dominated Murkmire Grapnel. Daniel Peukers Piece of Mind in the arsenal was accordingly taken out of the game and Nica Roth deservedly took home the victory!"
1st: Nica Roth - Azalea
Runner Up: Daniel Peukers - Azalea

Minipolo - Vietnam
"It was a great day of Flesh and Blood. Our top 8 was very diverse, with only Dash being seen twice. From new players to veterans, everyone enjoyed the atmosphere. We hope to see more Outsiders heroes in the next Skirmish."
1st: Hoàng Vũ - Briar
Runner Up: Khoi Dinh - Prism

Mox Saga - Hong Kong
"On April 9th, Mox Saga hosted a Flesh and Blood TCG Skirmish Sealed deck event that saw 32 players compete against each other in a battle of wits and strategy. The meta featured a diverse range of heroes, with Azalea making an appearance twice, Arakni with three, Riptide with seven, Benji with two, Katsu with one, and Uzuri with a whopping seventeen.
After several rounds of intense gameplay, the top eight draft was announced, featuring one Azalea, one Katsu, one Arakni, and five Uzuri. It was an exciting moment for the participants as they eagerly awaited the results. In the end, Rocko emerged as the winner of the event, having used Azalea to claim victory.
But the excitement didn't end there; Dicky Wong was the lucky recipient of a black envelope, which contained a special prize. The event was a huge success, with players from all skill levels coming together to showcase their skills and compete for the ultimate prize."
1st: Rocko Yan - Azalea
Runner Up: Kelvin Law - Katsu

Battlestation - Australia
"Big day of limited at Battlestation Toowoomba with a 15 player event. Five of those players were a carpool contingent from another region come up to join the fun. With a new case being opened for the sealed deck construction, there were multiple cheers as Legendaries were pulled around the tables. After the cut to top 8 draft, it was nearly an even split of 5 home players and 3 away players making for a very fun draft. In the end it was home vs away in the finals but the home Toowooomba team ended up victorious with Russell Budgen taking out his second hometown Skirmish win!"
1st: Russell Budgen - Katsu
Runner Up: Valerio Guercio - Arakni, Solitary Confinement
