While the first Flesh and Blood Pro Tour stole the limelight over the weekend, and Pablo Pintor was crowned as our first Pro Tour Champion, the ProQuest season was also kicking off! If you attended but couldn't compete in the Pro Tour, competed but didn't make it into the Top 8, or caught up on the action from home, the ProQuest season is your chance to attend the next Pro Tour in France! Win a ProQuest event, and you'll win an invite to the Pro Tour: Lille, where you could become the next Pro Tour Champion. Of our Top 8 players at the Pro Tour: New Jersey, five qualified by winning events in ProQuest Season 1, including Champion Pablo Pintor!
Mateusz Sass won the Calling: New Jersey at the Pro Tour weekend, which officially put Bravo, Star of the Show over the threshold for Living Legend. However, as per our policy, a hero is only officially made a Living Legend either when a booster set releases, or with a scheduled banned and suspended announcement. The next announcement is scheduled for June 24th, on the same day that Uprising releases (this is also when Stubby Hammerers' ban goes into effect). Until then, and for the duration of the ProQuest season, Bravo, Star of the Show can still be played in Classic Constructed tournaments.
Our first week of ProQuest Season 2 featured 32 events across 20 countries, but there are still three weeks of ProQuest events for you to attend. If you want to find your nearest ProQuest event, you can check out our event locator page.
While the Pro Tour saw two Kano players enter the Top 8, this week in ProQuest saw Kano, Dracai of Aether as the least represented hero on the field, with even less players than Azalea. However, despite only having 6 players across all events this week, Kano saw one player into the Top 8, Ciaran Harrigan (Ireland). At the same event, Levia, Shadowborn Abomination saw Brian Walsh in the Top 8, and another two Top 8 finishes with Jack Doherty (United Kingdom) and James Swandale (United Kingdom), with James taking Levia to the finals before losing to Chane.
Chane, Bound by Shadow took a grand total of 13 wins across all 32 events. In recent months, the three biggest stars in the Classic Constructed metagame have included Chane, Bravo, and Prism, and with the recent banned and suspended announcement, Chane's popularity combined with Bravo's shift in the meta has paved the way for his striking presence at the winner's table this week.
Speaking of cult followings, Azalea, Ace in the Hole found the opposite effect in the opening weekend of events. Despite nine loyal followers bringing the Ranger to events, she is the only Classic Constructed hero who failed to secure a single spot in the Top 8 this week.
However, Azalea's fellow Ranger Lexi, Livewire has monopolised on the recent metagame shift, and seized a place in the Top 8 with 11 players this week, winning one event in Germany with Kamil Kirstein, who took down Christopher Bizau's Bravo deck in the final.
Our Star of the Show has been busy this week, winning 6 events with players Paul Crame (United Kingdom), Richard Anthony Bustamante (Philippines), Cayle Mccreath (New Zealand), Charles Nash (United States of America), Adam Sarrington (United Kingdom), and Ferran Riu (Spain).
You may have noticed that Azalea was the only hero who didn't make a Top 8 appearance this week - yes, that does mean that Bravo, Showstopper did! Despite the Elemental Guardian presence in the meta, the Showstopper still saw four appearances in the Top 8, including a finals finish with Sander Neeft in the Netherlands, where he lost to Briar.
While slightly less successful than her fellow Runeblade Chane, Briar, Warden of Thorns won four tournaments with Wouter Ouwehand and Man Hiem Cheung in the Netherlands, Luis Coelho in Portugal, and Natanael Avellino in Indonesia. With almost the exact same number of players in the Top 8 this week, Katsu, the Wanderer won two tournaments with Josep Giné in Spain, and David Schoch in Switzerland.
Completing the Runeblade trifecta, Viserai, Rune Blood saw eight Top 8 finishes, and won one event with Josh Gardner in the United States.
This week, Ser Boltyn, Breaker of Dawn saw 5 players in the Top 8; including two places in the finals with Daniel Baxendale (United Kingdom), and Sergio Tizón Molina (Spain). There was also one young Boltyn reported in the data, but he failed to make the Top 8! Fellow Warrior Dorinthea Ironsong also made the Top 8 at 5 events, including a double semi-finals finish at KEEPSEVEN in Germany with Janne Wurl and Maik Friedrichsen, who both lost to Chane players, and a win against Prism in Romania with Onica Lucian.
Our final Solanian hero, Prism, Sculptor of Arc Light, won four events with Daniel Pearson and Brandon Jones in the United States, Jyri Ollila in Finland, and Martin Widjaja in Singapore.
Rhinar, Reckless Rampage makes our final winning hero of the week, with nine Top 8 finishes, and one victory with Chen Shr Jiang in Taiwan. Oldhim, Grandfather of Eternity doesn't quite need a mobility aid yet, picking up four Top 8 finishes with Sebastian Golla in the Netherlands, Dean Flanagan in Ireland, and Catalin-Victor Cojocaru and Botond Torok in Romania.
Finally, despite not winning any events, Dash, Inventor Extraordinaire was still quick on her feet this week, with six out of sixteen players seizing a Top 8 finish. Maybe next week she can pick up the pace! Top 8 players included Rose Smyth and Penny Feldman in the United States, Steve Charlick in the United Kingdom, Jamie McCabe in Ireland, and Apiwat Khamfan and Witthawat Phanthanitlert in Thailand.

"The hype of the 1st ProTour in New Jersey has really lit the competitive spirit of our players. 16 players joined our ProQuest Q2 with 3 Prisms, 3 Starvos, and surprisingly, 2 Azaleas dominating the field. However, it was Briar piloted by Natanael Avellino and Katsu piloted by Aziz Riphat who rose to the finals, with Briar coming out as the winner of the event.
On that day we also celebrated a milestone in the Indonesia FAB scene, where Gian Arnandi became the first player to reach 1,000 lifetime XP in Indonesia!"

"Hong Kong has strict anti-infection measures which made all events online for the past few months. It was so exciting for players as the ProQuest Q2 is in-store.
Our store capacity is 32 players, applications were full in two minutes, it reflected the players hunger for ProQuest and gold cold foil card. Our event started at 11:00 am and all players arrived on time. We played 5 rounds and cut to Top 8. We have 2 resident judges to manage the events, and we proceeded with every procedure in detail to let players experience an atmosphere of competition.
Among the top 8, the first runner-up David received much support during the game. The main reason is he is using Lexi which turns back the monopoly of Chane and Starvo, and of course, he played so well."

"The first (and only) Flesh and Blood Proquest season 2 competition in Romania took place successfully in our location. The event went perfectly, we all had a wonderful time. I remember it was only a few months ago that we organized our first welcome event and look where we are now! The Flesh and Blood community is like a family here and we are all grateful for having the opportunity to organize ProQuest Q2 2022 at our store. We're looking forward to what's to come next! :)"
