Oct 09, 2024 Kasharn Rao

Week 1 of Pro Quest: London is in the books, and our first round of Pro Tour invites have gone out to well-deserved homes. Players are lost in the Rosetta sauce, learning new things every day in preparation for World Championship: Osaka.

On the Classic Constructed side of things, we've got an interesting metagame forming between Runeblades, Illusionists, Rangers, and a few other hopefuls on the side. Big games, big stakes, big fun.

Let's take a look at some highlights...

"It was a lively event with participation from people with a variety of experiences, from veteran players who had started playing with the English version to players who started playing after the Japanese version was released.
The final match was a battle between the Lightning heroes, with each player moving quickly from the first turn, back and forth, a battle that ended in four turns. It was a heated game that drew cheers from the players watching.
We're looking forward to holding more events at Akihabara Azumaya, so please come and join us!"

"The Top 4 of our event featured all four of the limited heroes, with mirror matches for Lightning and Earth. The eventual winner Kyle Carrington was able to draft Aurora in both the Swiss and the Top 8, beating three Wizards. He lost Round 1 in Swiss, but was then able to rattle off five wins in a row! it was our store's first limited Pro Quest, and all of our local players had been to the World Premiere, using their experience to help aid their victory."
