With another Battle Hardened etched into stone, we see another coin purse tossed out from the Pro Play Circuit offering $1,500,000! This time it all went down in the beautiful province of Valencia, Spain. With Gold Foils, PTIs, and a whopping $2,000 USD pot, we expected nothing less than a full fledged brawl to make it to the top.
Battle Hardened: Valencia took place smack dab in the middle of Pro Quest: Amsterdam season, which means the meta is still in the midst of a massive shake up. Some say it's the specialist's time to shine, while others prefer to make their mark playing the pure value game. Is this the new normal or just the calm before the storm as Part The Mistveil inches closer and closer?
Let's peel it back and check out our winners from last weekend...
Battle Hardened
More than 70 players brought their best to duke it out for their share of $2,000 USD, Gold Foils, and PTIs. Ultimately, only one could walk away with the title as the champion of Battle Hardened: Valencia. It's safe to say that Kayo shows no signs in stopping his one-armed terror on the meta. Meanwhile, the golden children of Solana make an Avenger-level assembly to claim as many seats at the top table. Riptide and Viserai sneak in for a surprise appearance, once again showcasing that it pays to stay true to your ride or die.
Congratulations to David Jose Iglesias Lopez, and the rest of the Top 8 competitors!
