We grew up in local game stores. We like local game stores. We want local game stores to be around for our kids and their kids.
Why do we care? We care because being a part of a local community is important. It’s where we find local friendships and build local networks. Local people we can do local things with.
Some publishers claim that their digital offerings are a benefit to the TCG industry as a whole, and maybe they once were.
But as TCG publishers prioritise digital platforms in the pursuit of higher profits, it removes fans from local game stores and that threatens the existence of local communities.
A future without local game stores, without local communities coming together…
That’s not a future we support.
