Sasha Markovic - The Calling $10k Auckland 2020 (Feb 8, 2020)
Sasha stunned competitors at Auckland $10k with his innovative take on Katsu to become the first two-time professional tournament champion. Rather than using Katsu’s well known attacking game plan, Sasha employed a highly defensive strategy that aimed to neutralize every threat in the opponent's deck, while using Kodachi’s to whittle down the opponent's life total, and outlast the end game with Drone of Brutality.

Mikael Teittinen and Katsu, the Wanderer danced the delicate balance between defense and offense with a deck that can play both roles equally well. With a Ninja deck that keeps the pressure on with Harmonized Kodachi whichever form it takes, opponents were always kept guessing as to what was coming next. Between the defensive suite of nine Flic Flak, no fewer than nine other defense reactions and the ever present threat of the Surging Strike combo line, Mikael sliced and diced his way to become the National Champion of Finland!
