At Pro Tour: Baltimore we told you the World Championship would take place in a European city with bright lights. We know you've all been anxiously waiting to hear about the most prestigious competitive event of the year, and we couldn't be more excited to finally share the details with you.
We pledged to deliver the best competitive experience of any TCG on the market, and so far in 2023 the $1,000,000 USD Pro Play Circuit has lived up to that pledge, bringing premier Flesh and Blood tournaments to players across the globe. But the Pro Tour, Callings, Nationals, Battle Hardeneds, ProQuests, Road to Nationals, Skirmishes, and even Armories... they all lead up to this.
This is the World Championship. The absolute pinnacle of Flesh and Blood organised play. The ultimate showdown between players of the highest calibre from all around the world. So without further ado...
That's right, Worlds is in Barcelona! Spain is home to some of our most enthusiastic players and fiercest competitors, such as Pablo Pintor, the first Pro Tour champion, and we are stoked to be able to hold our second ever World Championship in this beautiful city.
The venue is Fira de Barcelona Montjuic, Pabellón Centenario, located near one of the most emblematic landmarks in Barcelona, Plaça d'Espanya. Hosted by tournamentcenter, the stage is set for the biggest and best competitive event in Flesh and Blood history!
Across all three days the best of the best will grapple in Classic Constructed and Booster Draft formats, proving they have mastered Flesh and Blood. But only one will rise above to claim the coveted title, gleaming trophy, a champion's prize card, and lion’s share of $300,000 USD.
Alongside the World Championship we have several open entry side events such as the Calling ($30,000 USD prize pool), Battle Hardened ($2,000 USD prize pool), and several other fun activities, special guests, artists, cosplayers, presentations, and more. Tickets and World Championship registration will be available directly through the tournamentcenter website in September, along with a full schedule of public events.
We invite the international Flesh and Blood community to join us for this landmark event, to witness spectacular gameplay, root for your country, and watch 2023 boil down to a climactic finale. Will reigning champion Michael Hamilton defend the title? Will a Pro Tour champ like Pablo Pintor, Matt Foulkes, or Michael Feng take home the win? Or will a prodigal superstar like Brodie Spurlock make history?
There’s something exciting for everyone at the World Championship, even if you’re completely new to the game. You don’t need to qualify for the main event in order to come along and dive into the action. So save the date, start booking your travel and accommodation, and join us in Barcelona!
