THE VENUE
Our second ever Blitz style Calling event will take place in Kraków, which was the capital of Poland from 1038-1596. Its historic central district known as Old Town was one of the original 12 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, declared in 1978. Local venue Stara Zajezdnia will be host to the event, a converted old tram depot which sits in the historic centre.
More Prizes, an updated Battle Hardened, and something from the vault...
The Calling: Krakow will feature an increased prize pool of USD20,000, offering twice as much in cash prizes compared to last year's events.
It will also feature an updated Battle Hardened event, a new and improved premium side event which features a USD2000 prize pool, a PTI for both the winner and the runner-up, not to mention exclusive 'Battle Hardened' series limited-run playmats for the Top 8. Between the main event and Battle Hardened, there are a total of 10 PTIs on offer, representing a golden opportunity for players to qualify for upcoming invite-only events such as Pro Tours and the World Championship in 2022.
In addition, to mark the epic occasion of the first European Calling weekend, and as a sign of respect to our amazing community in Europe, we’ve decided to do something special for the Top 8 Draft...
- ...which you can discover via the Calling: Krakow page (it's worth it, we promise!).
To top it all off, on the Friday night we've got an all new Team Blitz Beatdown event! Grab two of your friends and take on the field in this fun and fast Friday night warmup.

Poland is home to one of the most passionate Flesh and Blood communities in the world. Polish player Łukasz Cichecki began playing in July last year, qualifying for the Championship through a Road to Nationals event and taking Briar to the top, becoming Poland's first National Champion. His competitor in the finals, Mariusz Suchanecki, made a name for himself during the first two seasons of Skirmish with Ira, and won his seat at Nationals with Ser Boltyn, ultimately placing second.
Semi-finalists Daniyar Saduakassov and Marcin Filipowicz both qualified through the 90-day XP leaderboard, playing Bravo and Briar respectively. Runeblade player Marcin started playing tournaments in August of last year, while guardian Daniyar began in May with a Monarch release in his home city of Kraków.
Bartłomiej Wieszok, a Level 1 Judge who was originally slated to judge the Calling: Utrecht, travelled to Nationals alongside fellow professional players Wojciech Klimczyk, who placed at two different Road to Nationals events to qualify for the Championship, and Grzegorz 'Urlich' Kowalski, an established professional TCG player who has been translating his skills to the world of Flesh and Blood.
