For the upcoming ProQuest Season, we have invited some guest writers to contribute to fabtcg.com over the course of the series. We're pleased to introduce our second guest writer, Davis Kingsley. Davis has previously covered the metagame through Skirmish seasons and National Championships, and we've enjoyed reading his analysis throughout 2021.
We're looking forward to bringing you his dissection of the meta throughout the inaugural ProQuest season!
Hello! I am Davis Tower Kingsley (aka “TowerNumberNine”), a Flesh and Blood player and strategy writer from California. I've played various tabletop games for a while – some on a fairly competitive level – but switched primarily to Flesh and Blood around the release of Crucible of War and quickly found it very appealing! Since then, I’ve been following and analyzing Flesh and Blood’s metagame in one way or another, primarily writing over at my blog and at The Rathe Times and doing video content on Twitch and YouTube. My first “big” Flesh and Blood competitive experience came with the first Skirmish season, where I was quite active playing Dorinthea, and I’m excited to jump back into competitive play in 2022!
In the past, I created and maintained a spreadsheet (with lots of help from the community – much thanks to everyone who helped compile results, especially “Sizzla”) to track and analyze tournament results from various events in the Flesh and Blood competitive season. I’m excited to announce that this season I’ll be writing some articles for Legend Story Studios and using their data to analyze ProQuest Season One here on fabtcg.com!
As the ProQuest season progresses and the Flesh and Blood community starts to explore what Everfest has to offer, I’ll be here with weekly articles taking a look into how the meta develops and what sorts of builds are emerging internationally. I’m looking forward to seeing what this environment will bring and what new builds the competitive scene will come up with – stay tuned for more as we get into the season!
