Booster Draft

Rosetta is a dynamic Booster Draft experience, with dual talents (Earth and Lightning), dual classes (Wizard and Runeblade), and explosive arcane damage!

Oscilio is a Lightning Wizard, aiming to play several Lightning cards in a turn to power up his signature weapon and end on a juiced up arcane explosion! He uses auras called "Sigils" to help glue together his turns, whether that's making his weapon free, returning them to hand to trigger their effects multiple times, or discarding them with his hero ability to dig through his deck.

Key signals that Oscilio are open are the aforementioned Sigils, especially the Lightning ones, as well as other key Lightning cards that interact with instants, such as Blast to Oblivion, Flittering Charge, and the equipment Flash of Brilliance. Oscilio also makes the best use of red Flash, which allows him to play multiple burn spells in a turn while also charging his weapon. You'll also want strong payoffs for playing these Lightning cards in the form of burn spells, especially the ones that interact with Sigils, such as Etchings of Arcana and Glyph Overlay.

Aim to pick up roughly 3-6 Sigils throughout the draft, and about 10-15 Lightning cards overall. Oscilio has an incredibly dangerous ceiling but can also be a little fragile, as he relies on several components to line up in order to pull off huge arcane damage bursts. Try to pack in 1-2 "tall" arcane damage win conditions (amping a burn spell to 6+ damage) that you can rely on to close out a game, such as Exploding Aether into a burn spell, several Lightning attacks into a burn spell, or 2+ Sigils into Glyph Overlay. Comet Storm // Shock is probably the most premium pick for Oscilio in the entire set and should absolutely be slam dunked. Not only does it have the tallest base arcane damage, the Shock half in combination with Volzar is a reliable way to kill the opponent on their own turn!

Classic Constructed

Those of you who have a need for speed will be happy to learn that Oscilio has never paid for a speeding ticket in his life. He's just too fast for them to catch! In Classic Constructed you'll want to focus mainly on the three Lightning Sigils, especially Sigil of Brilliance, which is the most powerful of the three. Channel Lightning Valley is also an auto-include, able to net you value on both the opponent's turn when you play it with an instant source of arcane damage, and on your own following turn. Both of these auras can be abused by Blast to Oblivion and Flash of Brilliance, allowing you to extend your turns or even just recover lost ground off a two card hand.

An insane new combo introduced to the Lightning pool in Rosetta is Gone in a Flash with Lightning Greaves. By activating Lightning Greaves, each time you play an instant, such as the Sigils, Channel Lightning Valley, Electrostatic Discharge, Shock, or High Voltage, you can bounce Gone in a Flash back to your hand, get go again, and play it again and again and again! Volzar will charge up each time you do this, allowing you to end the turn on a super-beefed arcane blowout!

Oscilio benefits from having lots of Lightning cards in his deck in order to pump out massive turns, but he doesn't have the on demand go again that Aurora has. Luckily, many Lightning attacks, such as Lightning Surge, Flittering Charge, Second Strike, Fry, and Current Funnel, already have various ways to get go again. However, an easy workaround that will allow you to play out your hands efficiently without jumping through hoops is Channel Thunder Steppe. It not only gives you greater flexibility with your turns and enables you to reap the benefits of your extra draws, it also lets you unleash a hand of burn spells that would otherwise be locked into a single play. Eclectic Magnetism serves a similar purpose, allowing you to 'flash' in burn spells at a moment's notice.

The Wizard card pool contains some potent tools with big payoffs for amping. Pressuring your opponent with several Lightning attacks then doming them with a big burn spell that disrupts their gameplan such as Mind Warp or Destructive Aethertide will keep you in the drivers seat, which is exactly where you want to be, speeding ticket or not. Other burn spells with great value surge effects include Etchings of Arcana, Glyph Overlay, Eternal Inferno, and Pop the Bubble, but be wary of including too many and disrupting your balance of Lightning cards. Lastly, Scour is a great card to pack in your inventory for dealing with Runechants, Spectral Shields, and Agility tokens, while Aetherize can deny transcend cards or negate pesky protection like Sigil of Solace and Oasis Respite.
