Road to Nationals 2022 events include Uprising Draft Events. If you have been assigned a draft event the following guide will assist you in running the event in GEM.

In the example below I’ve created an event with 32 players but have yet to pair round one.
Once you pair the round you will be given the round one pairings and the Draft Pods.
Use the Print Draft Pods feature and then post these to get players seated in their pods.
If the event does not have an even number of players GEM will create the best distribution of players per pod. At this point you can enter results and pair rounds as you would for any normal event until you complete round three.
If your event is between 9 to 16 players, you can then cut to a final Top 8 draft for your event. If your player has 8 players then you should only run three rounds with no cut. We recommend you print standings before you do the cut to top 8.
To do the cut select the Cut to Top 8 button. This will then give you the details for the final draft pod of the event and the pairings for the single elimination rounds.
If your event has more than 16 players, we advise to do another draft pod before cutting to top 8. To do this after entering your results for round three select to Cog Icon. Then untick Cut to top 8, it should then show that the format is Booster Draft and New Draft pods is ticked. Below this select the option of Pair Round 4 (New Draft Pods).
This will create new draft pods for Round 4 as well as your round 4 pairings. Use the Print Draft Pods feature and then post these to get players seated in their pods. Players will Draft again and play and additional three rounds before you then will need to cut to top 8.
Important to Note:
- The event will only pair players within their Pod. It will not pair players across the pods.
- The second draft pods will pod players by their performance. For example pod one in the second draft will contain the best performing players from the first three rounds.
- If players drop after the third round GEM will pod players to create the best distribution of players per pod.
- Draft event still require you to enter the hero played by players in the top 8. To learn more read Hero Assignment in GEM
