Home is not something Kayo has considered in the past. Territory, yes, but never somewhere he felt he belonged. Deathmatch changed all of that, transforming the solitary beast into a fighter that loves the limelight almost as much as he craves the violence. He has no wish to return to the jungle.
And his defeat by Kassai taught him two things. One, the concept of mercy, and how humans have a soft spot for it. Two, he needed to smarten up. Since that turning point, Kayo has not only picked up the rudiments of the Common tongue, but has become a leading member of the Prowlers, a group of ex-tribal Brutes who choose to pool their strength rather than go it alone. He has come to understand the concepts of subterfuge and terror, and how much more powerful they can be than raw strength.
No longer the caged animal, consumed by his own wild urges, Kayo uses his innate cunning in and out of the ring. He’s learned to bide his time, toy with his prey like a cat with a mouse, and unleash the beast within when it’s least expected.
Feint Ferocity
Only a fool would think the arena has tamed the one-armed Brute. Cunning Kayo has been practicing his sleight of hand. With a deft feint, Kayo draws his opponent in, only to let rip with unfettered ferocity.
Roar of the Wild
Once the lone hunter, Kayo now runs with a pack that numbers in the thousands. Their jeers are wild jungle calls to his ears. Their outrage is a great beast’s roar, filling him with the lust for violence.
