The worldwide National Championship series kicks of this weekend with the United Kingdom National Championship event! The first National Championship of 2021 takes place in Leeds, England at the (rather fitting) Royal Armouries Museum and is brought to you by superstar Local Games Store Living Realms! With the invite-only 96 player cap event taking place October 29-31 BST (GMT +1) fans will be treated to a terrifically terrifying tournament with halloween havoc happening across two days of Classic Constructed and draft!
Friday October 29 will see players bring their best 52 card Blitz decks to start the weekend off with a bang in the open entry, no-Nats-invite-required Battle Hardened event. Then Saturday, day one of the National Champion begins with 3 rounds of Classic Constructed, 3 rounds of Tales of Aria draft before finishing the day with 3 more rounds of Classic. Day 2 starts with 3 more draft rounds before the Classic Constructed decks return for the Top 8, earning random Golden Legendary drops, and the crowning of the United Kingdom's first Flesh and Blood National Champion!
If you aren't qualified to play in the main event, no worries, there will will also be an open entry Sunday sealed side event- the ProQuest! The winner of this Tales of Aria sealed deck event will receive a Pro Tour Invitation and a Gold Cold Foil Arcanite Skullcap!
Some much talked about players eyeing up the crown include Sharif Shaaban who picked up a decisive victory with Dorinthea at a Road to Nationals held at Trinity Card Capital, Finbarr Begley who sliced up another Road to Nats with Katsu at Manascrew and consistent top finishers Simon Denning and Mark Henderson.
