Skirmish Week 7 Overview

9th Apr 2021 Nicola Price

It's the second to last week of our Skirmish series of events, Viserai makes a comeback, beating the competition in not one, but two of our Skirmish events. Bravo, Kassai and Dash also broke through in events across Singapore, Sweden and the United States, upsetting Ira's previous dominance over this Skirmish season's metagame.

Bricks Play

The Bricks Play online Skirmish for Singapore players saw 64 heroes battle it out in a surprise overturn of the meta. Two competing players, Jamin "Breaking Bald" Choe, and Gino "Lord of the Wind" Varella, provided commentary from Round 6, live-streaming from the Bricks Play store, where they'd set up their PC's for the day! You may recognise Gino's name from previous articles, as he has previously won last week's Skirmish at Agora Hobby, as well as reaching the Top 8 in the Imaginarium's event. You can watch the replay of their coverage via Breaking Bald's youtube channel.

Having only broken through to the Top 8 in sealed deck tournaments so far this season, Bravo has re-emerged in the post-Drone of Brutality meta game, with two Top 8 finalists bringing their hammer to the webcam.

Ultimately, it was James Lim who won the Skirmish with his midrange Viserai deck, beating back Ira player Eugene Phua.
