Skirmish Overview - Season Two, Week One

Hot on the heels of Monarch pre-releases, Skirmish Season 2 kicked off last weekend. The first two weeks of the season are Monarch First Edition Sealed Deck events, and from there it opens out to include Blitz for the back part of the season. Support from the stores has been incredible, and there are 246 events set up worldwide!

The increase in events numbers has also coincided with a lot more taking place in person, so we really hope that if your community is safely out of lockdown there will be a chance to get in store and play. If not, then there are still plenty of online events running as well for you to play in. Take a look here for a map of the events taking place!

A number of events took place over the weekend which was great to see, and we have some coverage of this below. There were also four US stores that whose events were disrupted due to problems with deliveries of product. We wanted to apologise to both the players and stores that we didn't get the product to you in time. Most of us at the studio are players and or tournament organisers, so we understand how disruptive it is when events get postponed at short notice. We're sending out some extra product to the stores and communities affected by this by ay of an apology, and we hope that the rescheduled events are a great success!

Below are some of the photos and details from the events that took place last weekend!

LuckyGamingTCG

You may remember this tournament, which we mentioned in our Skirmish Season One Recap - LuckyGamingTCG's Monarch Blitz online event had some excellent prizes to give away, awarding a box of Monarch First Edition, a Heart of Fyendal, and an Open Championship trophy to the winner of the event.

This lucky winner was Davis Kingsley, also known as Towernumbernine, a prominent member of the community who often streamed his matches during Season One of our Skirmish events. He kicked off this Skirmish season in style with this win, streaming his matches to his Twitch channel. He also provided a stream of the Top 8 games with live commentary, which you can check out here.
