Misfits emerged from the darkness this weekend to backstab each other in a frenzy of pack-cracking, attack-reacting, and all manners of skulduggery.
More than a thousand Pre-Release events took place across the world, as players navigated the uncanny tunnels with their newfound weapons and strategies.
This unfamiliar territory put both new and experienced players on common ground, pondering their decisions with great care, desperately trying to keep their footing, and avoid the traps and tricks laid by their cunning opponents.
With daggers flying, bowstrings pinched taut, and deadly diseases spreading, the hostile environment of the Pits was the perfect battleground for a weekend of fun in the Flesh and Blood, crowning the victors with a stunning cold foil Uzuri token, and a haunting playmat to remind them of the underworld they had conquered.
Many were overjoyed to discover long-lost treasures hidden below the surface, legendary pieces of armour like the steely Vambrace of Determination, the deadly Flick Knives, or the mysterious Redback Shroud.
Some encountered a wide array of specialised daggers and equipment, in stunning cold foil and rainbow foil, and others were lucky enough to stumble upon the secret behind the three plagues in the form of Marvel codexes.
The source of these diseases, the fabled Plague Hive, revealed itself to a select lucky few who showed it off before quickly stashing it in their decks to spread mayhem.
